World Series Game 3

I woke up Saturday morning ready to go to the first time ever World Series home game in Arlington TX. My dad, sister Brittany, Allen and I packed our tailgating bags, had our game day apparel on, cameras & binoculars in one hand and waiving the towel in another!
I've gone to a ton of Texas Ranger games, and never seen anything like this. The moment we parked, we were surrounded by tailgaters eating all kinds of food, playing games, and talking to surrounding fans. We met up with friends and her coworkers, before heading into the stadium. The heard of cattle made it's way to the 3rd base line. Check out the view in the pics. We were able to see everything. We were among a sea of red, white, and blue.

We had a great front view of the former president, and first lady, George & Laura Bush. Nolan Ryan, his wife, Chuck Greenberg, and his wife. We counted at least 7 secret service agents.

Kelly Clarkson sang the Star Spangled banner. Once she finished, she shook the presidents hand! Nolan Ryan through out the first pitch to "Pudge" Ivan Rodriguez.

Once the game began, chanting for our team began all throughout the stands. We were really having a blast!

Now comes the exciting part. Our best friends were seating by the home porch side. Rookie Mitch Moreland was up in the 2ND, and hit a 3-run homer to CRAIG! Yes he caught the 1st ever home run ball hit by a Texas player, in our stadium. Later the Giants, San Fransisco hit a 2-run home run, of which our fan through it back. Josh "Hambino"Hamilton scored a solo home run in the 5Th.

As the game made it toward the 8Th, I began counting down the pitches, as we currently know the 8Th historically has not been a good inning for us. My dad and the people behind us were teasing saying the team was going to skip the 8Th, look at it as an extended 7Th.

We made it through, and won our 1st ever home game world series.

Leaving the ballpark was a memory I'll never forget. Making our way down the spiral walkway, fans began chanting "O'Day", and Let's Go Rangers. We stayed late enough to see a few of the team players leaving the tunnel. We even saw Michael Kirkman sign stuff for fans. Then we headed back to the car.

I'm blessed to have experienced this with my family and friends. This day is a day we will never forget.

It's Time

For the first time in franchise history, the Texas Rangers baseball team has won their first playoff game at home, won the American League Division, and now is going to the World Series.
I've always been a Texas Rangers fan, going back to the first stadium in Arlington. Then I remember watching Nolan Ryan break all kinds of records. Now, I'm getting to experience a local team beat all odds! I have the privilege to go to game 3, the first home game. The game is next Saturday. I'll post pics later. Go Rangers! It's Time!
