Birthday Weekend

I hit the big 3 0, yes 30! I think I felt it a tiny bit just before 1am after leaving this jazz bar in Fort Worth. For the most part, I feel the same, act the same, and walk the same.

I surrounded myself this weekend around wonderful friends & family. I was able to take off two extra days from work to enjoy me!

On my birthday, I began w/a message, which was just OK. I think I'm going to find a different place. Anyone know a great place?

For lunch we went here:

For dinner we went to Italianni's w/family. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Friday night, I worked w/my dad, recording/sales for a middle school.

I first want to congratulate all the people that has helped turn this one part of Fort Worth into a hip place. Where Tillman's roadhouse is today, once stood old warehouses, and a not very safe area if you know what I mean. This new part of Fort Worth has many new shops, and restaurants, that I want to go back and check out. I also checked out the new condos, but my working dreams would need to come together to live in one!

So going back to the diner. My favorite part was the dessert. We ordered table size smores, which we got to make ourselves.

We finished off the night at Scat Jazz Lounge.

Here is the band, and surprising the place was not too loud.

Today, we will be w/friends to help celebrate an important day for them. After that, I will get to enjoy a day w/my husband, which is very little w/our work schedules.

To wrap up this post on my birthday I want to thank everyone for my gifts, cards, and simply being here for my day!
